Sand and Qlik will support Data Management Summit Spain 2019

Spanish Version

The international event dedicated to data management professionals will take place on 16 October at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Sand has been a pioneer in the design and construction of state-of-the-art business intelligence solutions since 2002. From the definition of the analysis process of the goods or data accumulated in a company, it tries to extract intelligence and knowledge from ERP’s, CRM’s, Customer Databases, supply chain information, Sales data and any Commercial activity or source of relevant information for the company. Providing support to decision-makers with the right information, at the right time and in the right place, allowing them to make the best business decisions and increase the effectiveness of the organization.

Qlik (formerly known as Qliktech) is a software company founded in 1993 in Lund, Sweden and now headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA, whose main products are QlikView and Qlik Sense, software for business intelligence and data visualization. Qlik’s associative engine allows users to combine multiple data sources so multiple associations and connections can be formed. The two main products, QlikView and Qlik Sense, serve different purposes that run on the same associative engine. In QlikView, the user performs their daily tasks, analyzing the data with a guided, slightly configurable control panel. Qlik Sense, on the other hand, makes it possible to associate different data sources and fully configure displays in self-service mode of cataloged data, allowing an individual discovery path to be followed through the data.

«Qlik has brought Business Intelligence to the Mid Market,» said Michele Iurillo Founder of the Data Management Summit, «it was a pioneer at a time when no one knew what business intelligence was. It continues to be one of the most important players in the world of analytics. Sand is a company focused on Qlik with an interesting portfolio of customers in all industries, could not miss an event like the Data Management Summit«.

«We have been supporting and believing in the event from the beginning, we almost didn’t get to sponsor the last edition of Gandìa» said Jesus Cristobal Asorey (Director of Sand) «it seems like an essential moment to talk about Analytics and Business Intelligence and the DMS is a good occasion».

Why the DMS?

The challenges of self-service BI, machine learning, and artificial intelligence will dominate the future of data. Each day will allow participants to immerse themselves in the latest data news and analysis, focusing on emerging technologies that will offer the greatest opportunities for impact within the organization.

The events are free, but with limited places and each application will be evaluated by the admission committee formed by the organizers. The selection is made using the LinkedIn profile.

The conference program includes several technical presentations on Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, Analytics, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing, among others.

The mission is to create a unique event to guide the data management community into the technology landscape by talking about solutions rather than platforms. The event is intended to be an open discussion forum to share experiences and use cases. A bridge with the academic world and new generations who want to bring experience and learn from what is really done in companies in the field of data.

Where and When

The event will be held on Wednesday 16 October 2019 at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, Avenida Complutense, 30 – Madrid (Spain).
